Why do you have the
picture of the Earth up side down:
It's displayed that
way intentionally for two main reasons. First, when one steps
away from the surface of the Earth and into space, our common references to
directions disappear. There is no up, down, left, or
right. There is no north, south, east, or west. These
references to direction are tied to planet Earth.
Sit quietly for a
moment and think about this. You'll become aware of a different way of
relating to the Earth. It's our fragile, irreplaceable spaceship
in the dark, dangerous, light, beautiful, inviting, and mysterious
cosmos.
The second reason that
the north and south poles are pictured in the non-traditional format is
symbolic of the fact that a large percentage of the humans have there belief
systems upside down, inside out, backwards, and/or
reversed. Why do we say that?
Because we deny who
and what we are. We ignore much blatantly obvious
evidence. We believe dozens of fairytales as if they were
factual truths. We hate change. We can't stand
criticism. We refuse to acknowledge that our beliefs might be
wrong. We follow dozens of ancient and now totally dysfunctional
behavior patterns. We declare war on everything we don't like or
don't understand. We believe we are separate form Creator/God,
from nature, and from each other. We believe we can
destroy our environment and not reap the consequences. We
believe we are victims of the external world. An to top it all
off, we believe that our way is the one and only correct way, and that
everyone who disagrees with us or looks different is wrong, devious, and
strange and should be either killed, destroyed, or converted to our
way.
And here's the real
kicker: I could be the worlds biggest fool and, if I
pretend to be something I'm not and if I pretend to know what I'm doing, I
could still get millions of mindless sheep to simply go along with
whatever I say, regardless of how stupid or dysfunctional my proposals
are. Can you think of any politician that fits the above
description? If you can't, then you are one of the mindless
sheep.
